Target has announced it will start its holiday discounts earlier than ever with the “Deal Days” shopping event launching next month.
In addition to Target Deal Days Oct. 6-8, the retailer will extend its holiday price match guarantee, available from Oct. 6 to Dec. 24, 2022.
Target said it will offer “hundreds of thousands of deals online and in stores during the biggest Target Deal Days event yet ...”
The holiday price match guarantee “means guests can choose to shop early with confidence knowing that if the price goes lower at Target later in the season, the retailer will price match it.”
Extra savings can be acquired by using Target Circle, the retailer’s loyalty program, and an extra 5% off can be gained when using the Target RedCard.
Earlier this month, Target had announced an exclusive agreement with toy brand FAO Schwarz that will start in mid-October.
Target will have a dedicated space in its stores for the exclusive toys that will only be available there and at FAO Schwarz.
The toys include more than 120 items that range in price from $9.99 to $149.99, Target said. The selection includes the Style Runway 4-Sided Fashion Show play set, ride-on train, Makeup Vanity Mirror set, Legacy Dance on Piano Mat and more than 50 plush.
Target also has shop-in-shop areas with Disney, Levi’s, Ulta Beauty and Apple.
Target said it plans to hire up to 100,000 seasonal employees for stores and supply chain facilities. The retailer has a starting pay range of between $15 and $24 an hour.
