DRESDEN — Kayla Dulgar showed why she is one of the Muskingum Valley League's best players on Tuesday night.

Dulgar showed off an impressive all-around display play with 22 kills, 29 assists and 20 digs to lead a spirited comeback bid in a 23-25, 25-13, 15-25, 29-27, 15-12 win against host Tri-Valley in a Big School Division match.

Alivia Spaulding and Haley Balo had 16 and 15 kills, respectively, and Cayla Shrimplin set up 27 assists for the Lady Bears, who improved to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Brittany Henderson added 100 percent serving and 12 assists for the winners.

Eva Dittmar piled up 24 kills and Lexi Howe 20 for the Scotties, while Ingrid Dittmar tallied 47 kills, Anna Scheurman 32 digs and Caity Journey 21 digs.

Crooksville 25, 25, 22, 14, 15, West Muskingum 23, 18, 25, 25, 11: Tiasia Riggs connected on 25 of 27 serves with six assists and nine digs as the Ceramics held on for an MVL-Small School win in McLuney.

Brynn Lundell added two aces, four assists and 15 digs for the Ceramics (2-6, 1-4 MVL-Small); Maelee Collins had two aces and 19 digs, Julianna Locke six assists and six digs, Khirra Wilson four kills and Paige Frame three kills. Mylee Moorehead was 21-of-22 serving.

Leaders were not reported for West.

Crooksville's reserves won, 25-9, 25-11, behind four kills and two aces from Alexis Eyman and eight assists and seven aces from Erica Flood.

Sheridan 25, 25, 25, Philo 12, 9, 17: Jamisyn Stinson totaled nine kills and eight digs and Reagan Davis made 13 digs and served four aces, leading the Generals' (5-1, 5-0) sweep of the host Electrics in MVL play.

Alexis Bradley passed out 18 assists with five kills, three digs and two aces and Halle Warner had four kills and two digs for the winners. Stinson and Bradley were also 8-of-8 serving and Davis went 12 of 13 at the service line.

Delany Carmichael paced Philo with six kills, six assists and five digs, while Aleigha Busse added four kills, eight digs and two blocks, Olivia Winland three kills and six digs and Briannah Wolfe four kills and three digs. Busse and Wolfe were 100% serving.

Sheridan reserves (5-1, 5-0) won 25-19, 25-20 as Addison Grosse had four kills and 15 digs with 9-of-9 serving, Lily Talbot 14 assists and five digs with 7-of-7 serving and Madison Hupp four kills, 11 digs and three aces with 12-fo-13 serving. Olivia Fink tallied three kills and eight digs, Halli Harris four digs, three assists and two kills, Elise Spiker seven assists and Makenna Staker 12 digs and two kills for Philo, as Harris, Spiker and Staker were 100% servers.

Sheridan freshmen also won 25-1, 25-9 behind six digs by Laken Wilson, 12 aces and 20-of-20 serving from Hayden Goodfellow and three kills, three aces, five assists and 8-of-8 serving by Ella Thomas.

John Glenn 25, 25, 25, Maysville 15, 22, 16: Emma Briggs hit 10 kills and made nine digs and Hannah DeMattio tallied nine kills with four blocks, as the Muskies (3-6, 2-3) swept the visiting Panthers in Big School Division action.

Kara Fields added eight kills and three blocks, Lauren Blair passed out 30 assists, 11 digs and three kills, Aleea Musselman had 10 digs and three kills, Graceann Hitchcock made seven digs, Emma Dolan had three kills and three digs and Sydney White and Sarah Wayne had three digs apiece for the winners.

Maysville was led by Olivia McPeek with 21 assists, seven digs and two aces, Rachel Jarvis 10 kills, nine digs and two aces, Bekah Scott 14 digs and Sailor Atkins seven kills.

John Glenn reserves (5-4, 4-1) won 25-14, 25-11, as Izzy Myers had two kills, two aces and three digs, Alaiah Johnson two aces and two digs, and Brelynn Barr two kills, three assists, seven aces and three digs. Laikyn Clark served three aces and Taylor Freeland had three digs for Maysville.

John Glenn freshmen (2-3, 2-2) won 25-17, 25-12, as Addi Babcock had two kills, two assists, six aces and two digs, Faith Hayes two aces and Delaney Woodard two kills and three aces. Isabella VanWey hit three kills for Maysville.

New Lexington 25, 25, 25, Morgan 18, 17, 13: Abby Wilson and Jerilynn Koehler combined for 23 kills and Wilson also made six blocks to propel the Panthers to a Small School Division win.

Wilson had a team-high 13 kills, Koehler finished with 10 kills and seven digs, Trinity Cook chipped in seven kills, six aces and four digs, Lizzie Ellis set up 32 assists with four digs and Nora Duperow added five kills, four digs and two aces for the winners.

Evelyn Newton had eight kills and two blocks, Ashtyn Filkins made 11 digs and Jensen Payton hit seven kills to pace the Raiders. Chloe Baker chipped in seven digs and three assists, Montana Pettet added eight assists, seven digs and two aces, and Blair Clawson had four digs in the loss.

New Lex reserves won 32-30, 25-7, as Caroline Dupler tallied nine aces, eight kills and six digs, Jorja Burkhart 16 assists, six digs and three kills and Addison Wycinski four digs and three kills. Morgan was led by Riley Cunningham with four digs and two aces, Klaire Cain three kills and two digs, Paige Lanning eight assists, two kills, two blocks and two aces, Jacee Wallace seven digs, two kills and two assists and Grayson Welsh two aces.

Meadowbrook 25, 25, 25, Coshocton 17, 14, 15: Jalynn West set out 23 assists, while Lindsey Bryant added 10 kills and Miyah Davis made 12 digs, as the Lady Skins (4-3, 3-2) fell to the Colts (4-2, 4-0) in Muskingum Valley League Small School Division contest.

For the hosts, Camden Black, the reigning District Player of the Year, led all players with 15 kills to go along with 9 digs and a service ace. Ella Jeffries set up 29 assists while Kendyl Cannon pounded 7 kills.

Meadowbrook swept the night, winning the reserve contest 18-25, 9-25. Jaeli Tiedt had four aces and nine assists and Sophia McFadden had six kills for Coshocton (1-6).

Maysville 168, Crooksville 178, Coshocton 219: Bo White and Vaughn Childress shared medalist honors with 40s for the Ceramics, but the Panthers picked up a key MVL win at River Greens.

Connor Larimer and Owen Lutz fired 41s and Mat Harper and Hoyt Dodson chipped in 43s for Maysville, and Cooper Watts shot 42 and Tucker Watts and Gabe Sandefur had 56s for the Ceramics.

Coby Moore paced the Redskins with a 44, while Gavin Mathias chipping in a 49, Carter Summers a 56 and Chris Mobley a 70.

Philo 172, Tri-Valley 204, River View (NS): Addison Mershon posted a 40 at Vista, leading the Electrics to a MVL victory.

AJ Layton carded a 43, AJ Harper a 44 and Blake Hiles a 45 to round out the Philo scoring.

Jacob Grear posted a 48, Garrett Brocklehurst a 50, Conner Preston a 52 and Xander Smalley a 54 for the Scotties, while Thad Cox carded a 44, Caleb Kline a 53 and Isaiah Carpenter a 60 for the Black Bears.

West Muskingum 2, Sheridan 1: Steven Crumbaker scored twice with his game-winner coming with 22:17 left in the second half, as the Tornadoes picked up a league victory.

Crumbaker's first goal came off a Jacob Agin assist at the 23-minute mark of the first half, while Sheridan tied it at 1 when Isaac McKinney found Josiah Hamilton for a score with two minutes left in the first half.

Brady Bevis had nine saves for the Generals.

Maysville 3, Tri-Valley 2: The visiting Panthers edged the Scotties in a MVL contest at Kenny Wolford Park.

Sam Schott converted a penalty kick for Tri-Valley to make it 3-2 with 11 minutes left in the match, but no other information was available.

Sheridan 203, Philo 310: Morgan Wamer took medalist honors with a 42, as the Generals topped the Electrics at Fuller's Fairways.

Ryan Satterfield added a 44, Haven Jenkins carded a 56 and Casey Peach shot 61 for Sheridan.

Brianna Mortimer led Philo with a 43, while Taiylor Winland chipped in a 60, Grace Hargraves a 61 and Alaina Wahl a 73.

Zanesville 5, River View 1: Rylee McCuen knocked in four goals and Keira Dickenson added a score, as the Lady Devils topped the Lady Bears in the Labor Day Showcase on Monday.

Renya Dalton also made eight saves for the winners, who gave head coach Todd Riley his 100th career win.
