Here are the adorable dogs, cats and tiny animals who are currently looking for their forever homes in the North East.

Badger is a Lurcher aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say he is a sweet boy who can have a sensitive side and needs some TLC.

Badger is a lover of food with no boundaries so a 'lurcher-proofing' kitchen is a must.

Badger can be vocal when he sees dogs out on walks so will prefer to have his strolls in quieter areas. He can be worried by new dogs and will need someone up for some gradual socialisation in his new home.

He may live with children over the age of 11 but not a multiple child household as he prefers the quiet lifestyle. He will need all basic training including housetraining and building up his leaving hours.

Badger will be a gem once settled. He is playful and affectionate once he knows you.

Billy is a Greyhound aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Billy is an affectionate boy who loves nothing more than snuggles on the sofa.

He enjoys going on new adventures and walks beautifully on the lead.

Billy has a playful side and loves his squeaky toys but is equally partial to a midday snooze. He has stolen the hearts of everyone at the centre and will make the perfect companion in a calm home.

Billy is looking for an adult only home and could potentially live with another dog of a similar size.

He is currently in a foster home and is fully housetrained and used to being left alone for a few hours. He is also happy to travel in the car.

Like many sighthounds Billy has a high chase drive around small furries, so will need to be kept onlead and muzzled for his walks. He would love to have his own secure garden to potter in.

Blu is an American Bulldog aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Blu is a big strong lady full of fun and with such a big personality.

She likes to have plenty of attention and love as she enjoys being the centre of someone's world. She is housetrained but needs some leadwork and is very strong.

Blu can live with children over the age of 12 years up for her bouncy fun loving ways. She will need to be the only animal in her home but could have well supervised dog walking pals to help keep her social.

Young Blue is a crossbreed aged between one and two years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust describe him as absolutely gorgeous and say he is going to be such fun for owners. Blue is completely deaf so potential owners must be confident in training him.

He desperately needs his manners working on but he is very foody so this can help aid his training. Blue can live with another dog and it may be good for him to have a role model to teach him the ways.

He can live with children aged 13 and over and will need someone around for him all day and begin to slowly build up his leaving hours once he has settled in.

Bowser is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and is aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Bowser is a sweet boy who is super friendly!

He loves meeting new people and adores his food which will be useful when building on his basic training. He enjoys going on walks and exploring new places.

The amount of time Bowser can be left alone will have to be slowly built up. He can live with children aged 14 years and over. He will benefit from a household which can provide him with a moderate level of exercise.

Boyd is a crossbreed aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Boyd has not seen much of the world so does find new faces and places scary.

His favourite thing is snoozing in his bed, watching the world go by. He has grown in confidence massively since being at the shelter, but still has a little way to go.

Boyd is looking for an adult only home, with no visiting children so he can start to learn what home life is like at his own pace. He will need direct access to his own garden as it may be a while before he is confident enough to start going for walks.

Boyd has a few doggy pals at the centre, therefore he could potentially live with a female dog, pending a successful meet.

Bruce is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross aged between one and two years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Bruce is a beautiful lad who doesn't realise his size.

He has a very giddy nature which will need channelling into positive outlets like enrichment activities. He enjoys sniffing out treats when doing food games.

Bruce does have a sensitive side and can find new situations overwhelming. He'll feel much more comfortable with steady introductions in a calm environment.

He needs to live in an adult only home with a secure private garden, but may live with another similar sized dog. He'd like to continue his training with his new family and staff will be on hand to help with this.

Bubbles is a Lurcher aged between one and two years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say he is a shy young dog who finds new faces a bit unnerving so needs careful introductions to people who he doesn't know.

Once he knows you he is an affectionate boy who knows a few commands and is housetrained and walks nicely on lead. He has been OK around other dogs. He loves his toys.

Bubbles is looking for a quiet adult only home with no visiting children. He can be worried around men so would prefer a female only home.

He may live with another dog pending successful visits at the centre. New owners will need to visit him regularly at the centre for him to build up his confidence around them and to take on board his training with the staff at the centre.

Buddy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say he is a typical people loving Staffy and adores the company of his humans.

Buddy loves playing with his toys with his carers and to have a cuddle on the sofa with them. He needs to be kept on lead in public and does prefer to walk in less busy places.

Buddy will need to be the only dog in the household, however there is potential for him to have walking pals once he is fully settled. He just doesn't like to share his personal space with other dogs.

Buddy can be left alone for a couple of hours once settled and he can live with children over the age of 16. Buddy will need to be given a nice calm environment to find his feet.

He is doing very well in his foster home and is fully housetrained. Buddy also travels well in the car.

After a little while to settle he really is the perfect house guest, after a rough start to his life he really deserves to find a home to call his own. He has buckets of love to give and is a lovely companion.

Cash is an English Bulldog who is aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Cash is a worrier and finds the world a scary place.

He needs the help of patient, understanding owners to help boost his confidence. Owners will also need the confidence to advise strangers to give Cash some space when out in public.

Cash could live with another dog if needed and may live with a quiet, sensible older teen, aged 16 and over. However, there must be no younger or visiting children and Cash's new home will need to be quiet with minimal visitors.

He could be left some time during the day. It will take time for Cash to settle in a new home but it will certainly be worthwhile.

Chase the Lurcher is aged between one and two years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust describe Chase as a bouncy boy full of energy and fun. Chase adores his food and toys in equal measures.

Prior to coming to the shelter, Chase had very little training in place but has been an eager, enthusiastic pupil so far. Chase has had a lot of upheaval in his life and is looking for a quiet, adult only home who are around all day to continue with his training and build up the time he can be left for.

He will need his own secure garden to enjoy brain games and release his excess energy. He could potentially live with another dog, but he is very rough and tumble so they must match his style.

He has shown some sensitivities so will need minimal visitors, especially in the settling in period.

Chucky is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Chucky adores human company and makes friends with everyone he meets.

He is a lover of his toys, especially soft and squeaky ones and is also quite partial to a tasty piece of cheese. Chucky is a super clever lad and is keen to show off his training to new adopters.

He also loves to explore on walks and keep busy with a puzzle toy or snuffle mat.

Chucky is looking for an active home, but the environment must be calm and predictable to allow him the time and space he needs to settle in. It is also important that Chucky has direct access to his own private, secure garden, as he will need to be kept on lead and muzzled when out on walks.

He would prefer to walk in quiet areas where he will not be bombarded with other dogs. Chucky could potentially live with older children aged 16 or above but will need to be the only pet.

Leaving hours must be built up gradually.

Coco the Rottweiler is aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Coco is a beautiful boy, who once gets to know you, is incredibly affectionate.

He does find new faces quite scary and does require gradual introductions. He gets worried by dogs on walks so will require owners to walk him in quiet areas, to prevent both people and dogs coming over to him.

Coco loves his food and toys, probably in equal measure. He is slowly learning that it is OK to share with his humans, but this will need careful management in the home.

Coco is looking for an adult only, quiet home with minimal visitors and no visiting children. He will need to be the only pet in the home.

Due to needing to be exercised on lead, he will require direct access to his own secure garden with fencing of around 6ft.

Car journeys can be a little overwhelming for him, but his confidence has much improved since arriving at the shelter. He is very strong on lead, but will do anything for a tasty treat so this does help with training.

Cooper is a crossbreed aged between two and five years old and is currently living at Dogs Trust in Darlington.

He is described as a beautiful loving boy with a sweet personality, but he is a worrier who takes a while to feel at ease with people.

Cooper comes out of his shell with the aid of his doggy pal. He enjoys playing with his toys. He is strong on lead and needs a confidence boost.

Daniel the Lurcher is aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say he is a really handsome chap who is playful and enthusiastic - when he isn't snoozing.

Daniel is looking for new owners who can take him on nice walks and play tug games with him at home. He does enjoy the company of other dogs on the whole, but not other small furries such as cats.

He travels well in the car and is fully housetrained.

Daniel is a sensitive soul initially so he is looking for a quieter adult only home. He can live with sensible older teens (over 16 years) as he can be worried by new faces at times.

He may live with another playful dog of similar size. Daniel is a lovely mix of playful and chill so will make a wonderful new addition.

As he is not used to being left alone for more than an hour or so, leaving hours will need building up.

Dawn is a French Bulldog aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Dawn is a cheeky excitable girl, looking for a home with her pal Debbie.

She lacks a little in confidence at first then soon makes up for it, becoming very bouncy and friendly. She is very unsure about other dogs and can be worried which needs some work.

Dawn and Debbie are looking for a home with people who will help them with their confidence and settling into a new home.

These two ladies are very loving and will make wonderful companions for someone. New owners will need to be around for most of the day.

They need to be the only dogs in the home and can live with teens (13 years and above).

Debbie the French Bulldog is aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say she is a friendly girl looking for a home with her best pal Dawn.

These two cuties love a fuss, though Debbie is the more out going. She does lack a few social skills around dogs so people will need to work on this with them. She likes her toys and is a fun little lady.

Debbie and Dawn will be lovely girls for a sensible owner who is at home to settle them in and continue their training. They can live with sensible teens (over 13 years) and will need to have their hours alone built up gradually.

These two girls will be lots of fun!

Digger the 10-year-old Terrier Cross is described by staff at Darlington Dogs Trust as very bubbly.

Staff say Digger is a really affectionate lad once he knows you. He needs to meet you many times and slowly build that bond, but once it's there he'll snuggle and play with you all day long!

Sadly, Digger has had little experience of home life and this has left him with a few anxieties. He's very sensitive to noise, so his home must be a quiet adult-only household in a peaceful area away from busy roads and outdoor noise.

He cannot share his home with any other pets but he is sociable around the right dog and will walk nicely together if introduced correctly. He'll need a lot of patience and understanding from new owners.

But if you are looking for a project that will eventually yield a fun and very smart dog then Digger could be your boy!

Domino the Lurcher is aged between five and seven years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust describe Domino as a sensitive boy who can be worried by new people and new situations.

He takes a bit of time to trust someone and make friends. But when he does he gets very attached to that person.

He enjoys a fuss from his favourite carers, and is learning that doggy chums are a good thing in life. So, although he can be worried by dogs out on walks, he is having lovely play dates with his favourite canine companions.

Domino is looking for a quiet home, with owners who are willing to walk in quiet areas and carry on his focus work around dogs. New owners will be required to walk Domino on lead and muzzled.

He needs an adult only home with a secure garden with at least a 6ft fence.

He would need to be the only pet in his new home. New owners will need to meet him a few times at the centre so he can get to know them.

Domino is described as such a loving and gentle boy who gives the best hugs, and will be a loyal companion for someone.

Donny the Pug is aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Donny is an independent boy who likes to do his own thing.

He gets along well with other people and dogs given time to get used to them. He gets curious in new settings and likes to have a good sniff around to explore.

Donny can get a bit worried with formal handling e.g. at the vets and will benefit from further training on this to build his confidence.

He is looking for an adult only home who will be around for most of the day as he can only be left for a few hours at a time.

Donny may live with other dogs pending a successful meet at the centre. He will need short walks often to aid in weight loss and will need to be kept on a lead when out and about.

Draco is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Draco is such a sweet friendly chap, with a slight sensitive side but comes round quickly.

He loves a fuss and is so happy with attention from his carers, his lively playful Staffy side comes out.

Draco is housetrained and is also crate trained so could be left for 3-4 hours at a time. He can be a little over the top with other dogs initially but does settle down, he could live with a dog with a similar temperament and pending a successful meet at the centre.

Draco could live children aged 13 and above as well.

Flash is a Lurcher aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Flash is a real softie who adores his humans and would be a lovely companion for someone.

He prefers company so will need someone around for him.

Flash is much more a people person who would like to have his owners all to himself so would need to be the only pet in a home. He is a boy who would be much happier walked in quieter times whilst he builds on his social skills.

Flash can be a bit of an escape artist so a high fenced secure garden is a must for him. He could live with older teenagers if required but would not be a boy for children to walk.

Flic is a Crossbreed aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say she is a beautiful girl is super affectionate when she gets to know someone.

She enjoys time on the sofa with her favourite carers. But she also loves her food and this a great way to make friends with her.

She is slowly starting to learn that toys are a good thing as she didn't know what they were when she first arrived at the shelter.

Flic is worried by new faces so introductions do need to be gradual. She is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors and no visiting children.

She will need to be the only pet in the home, but owners will be encouraged to continue with her dog socialising once she is settled in her new home.

As she will need to be walked on lead in quiet areas and muzzled, she will require her own garden so she can enjoy off lead time.

Fritz is a Yorkshire Terrier aged 13 years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Fritz is an adorable little old gentleman who is looking for a special home where he gets lots of TLC and affection which is what he loves.

He gets on with other dogs of a similar size and he likes to meet new people.

Fritz will enjoy a home where he has company as this is the most important thing to him. He may live with another nice small dog and with sensible older children (over 14 years of age). This little chap has so much love to give, have you got a teeny Fritz shaped space on your sofa for him?

Gary the Old English Mastiff is aged between one and two years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Gary's one true love is food and this has helped immensely with the training that he has been receiving at the centre - alongside his clever brain.

Gary really enjoys learning new things. He can be a little anxious around resources, but has learnt to share with his carers, which in time will transfer to new owners.

He does have a sensitive side and loud noises spook him, so would prefer to find a home with a quieter environment. Gary is looking for an adult-only home, with no visiting children, where he is the only pet.

He will need to be kept on lead for his walks, therefore is looking for a home with immediate access to a garden, which is mainly laid to lawn. Though he can't share his home with other animals, he is social on walks with them so would enjoy continuing to meet calmer dogs on walks.

He is very clean in his kennel, so staff suspect he will still have his housetraining.

Henry is described as a sweet, shy boy, who does form bonds with people when he is given the time.

He is a crossbreed aged between two to five years old and loves toys and food equally, though he should be left alone to eat. Henry has come to Darlington Dogs Trust with very little history, though has enjoyed a sleepover with one of his carers.

He gets worried by new faces, so he is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors, and no children visiting.

Staff think he may be housetrained but should have a refresher when going in to a new home and will need the time he can be left for to be built up gradually. But as he is independent, staff don't think this will take long.

Henry will need to be kept on lead and muzzled when on his walks; he does get worried when dogs or people rush over to him. He would like to have his own secure garden so he can enjoy some off lead time. He will also need new owners to walk him in quiet areas where he enjoy his walks and relax.

Henry is undergoing hydrotherapy and this will be ongoing, therefore new owners will need to close to the centre in order for him to attend his sessions and also meet him multiple times before going home.

Jasper is a Lurcher aged over eight years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Jasper is a beautiful boy who likes to explore new areas.

He is friendly with new people and loves a bit of attention. He has shown some resource guarding around things he values such as food so he will need ongoing training and support with this in the home.

Jasper enjoys his walks and likes having a fellow four-legged walking buddy. However, he must be kept on a lead while out in public.

Due to this a home with a private and secure outdoor area for him to run around in would be ideal.

Jasper has lived outside most of his life so has little experience of home life. He will need owners who are around most of the day as he cannot be left alone during this transitional time.

He will need someone who can be patient with him while he slowly settles in.

He is looking for an adult only home where he is the only pet in the household. He can be reactive around livestock so care will need to be taken while out and about.

Jasper the Border Collie is aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Jasper is quite a timid boy who finds new situations a bit worrying.

He is looking for a quieter home with experienced people who may be used to the breed and who are patient and will allow him to make friends in his own time.

He does want to make friends but can't quite pluck up the courage, and it does take him a while. You see a different personality when he meets another dog as he really becomes more confident.

Jasper will need to meet prospective owners a few times until he feels more comfortable. He needs a secure garden for off lead playtime.

He must live with another dog as this is when he is happiest, and he gains so much confidence from it. He needs training and confidence building.

He will be such a sweet boy once he feels comfortable enough to shine.

Jethro is a one-year-old Foxhound, who staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say reminds them of the BFG.

He is a sweet lad who is very strong on lead so will need some leadwork in the home and owners who can manage his strength.

He is playful boy with other dogs.

He may settle better in a home where there is an existing playful dog (but it will need to be up for his bouncy exuberant playstyle).

Jethro could live with another dog and teens over the age of 14 years.

He is an affectionate loving young boy who will prefer his owners around for him for most of the day and to build his time up being left, gradually.

He will require strong and active owners with a sense of humour.

Jimmy is a Lurcher aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Jimmy is a lovely boy who adores a fuss and attention and will come over for a cuddle.

He is such a handsome chap, who enjoys going out for walks and would like an active lifestyle with his new family. Jimmy can be a little unsure of some new situations and can be a little unsure of some handling so would need his new owners to help build his confidence.

Jimmy is housetrained and is happy to be left for a couple of hours. He can live with another dog of a similar size pending a successful meet at the centre and can live with children aged 15 and over.

Kooper is a Malinois Belgian Shepherd Dog who is aged between one and two years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Kooper is is still very much a puppy who is full of energy.

He is looking for a home with people who have previous experience of the breed as he won't be for the fainthearted. Kooper is looking for a home that will keep up with his high exercise levels and be giving him the mental stimulation he needs throughout the day. He loves playing with toys and playing fetch.

Kooper could possibly live with another tolerant dog pending a successful meet. He can live with older teens aged 16 and over and he will need owners around for him all day to help him settle in to his new home and build up very slowly over time.

Kooper isn't a big fan of going to the vets so will be required to wear a muzzle for vet visits which the Dogs Trust training team can advise on.

Loki is a Siberian Husky aged between two and five years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Loki has had a lot of upheaval in his life, so his next home needs to be his forever home to give him some stability.

He needs gradual socialising with dogs as he's not been around any. He will need to be the only pet in the home but can have dog walking friends to build up his social skills.

Loki is looking for an adult only home and will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. He will be fine to be left for a few hours once he has settled into his new home.

Luna is an English Bulldog aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Luna has taken a little while to find her feet in kennels but is now making friends there.

In the home she will soon come out of her shell and be the lively, bouncy big girl that staff know she is underneath, but it may take her a while to settle in so new owners will need to be patient with her and allow her space.

Luna will suit a home with experience of the breed. She can live with sensible older teens (over 16 years).

She can live with a larger male dog pending a successful meet at the centre. However, she may thrive as the centre of attention as an only dog in her new home.

This girl has a big personality waiting to blossom in her new home. New owners will need to visit the centre a few times to get to know her.

Luna is a Lurcher who is aged between two and five years old. She is currently living at Darlington Dogs Trust while she waits to find her forever home.

Staff at the shelter say that once Luna gains your trust, she is full of affection and loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa.

Luna loves her food and toys and is always keen to learn new things. Given time, her playful personality soon shines through.

Luna enjoys her walks but gets easily overwhelmed around other dogs, so will need to be walked in quiet areas.

Luna is looking for active adopters who have the time to dedicate to her ongoing training. She would like to be the only pet in the home and will need access to her own private, secure garden.

Luna has very limited social skills around other dogs, so new owners will need to walk her in quiet areas, and she will need to be kept on the lead when out in public. She could potentially live with teenagers, aged 16 and above.

Mac is a Crossbreed who is aged between two and five years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Mac is beautiful boy, both inside and out who loves nothing more than spending time with his carers. He has a few walking pals at the centre but does prefer females so could potentially share his home with a female dog.

He is starting to learn tricks so will enjoy learning more in the home - especially if toys are on offer as he does love to play with them. Mac finds the world all a bit scary and is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children where he can find his feet and slowly get used to home life.

He will need walking in quiet areas, therefore must have access to this, or a car to drive him to these areas. He will need to be muzzled and on lead for walks therefore requires a secure garden of his own with at least 6ft fencing.

Maddie is a German Shepherd Dog aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Maddie is a playful girl who will make such a fun companion.

Soft toys are her first love, shortly followed by cheese. Once Maddie gains your trust, she adores fuss and attention and lets her goofy personality shine.

She enjoys her walks but can be strong on the lead, so would love to find an active owner who will take her on adventures in quiet walking areas.

Maddie is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors and no visiting children. She will also need to be the only pet.

She is not a fan of other dogs and can be worried by new faces, so will need to be kept on lead and muzzled in public. It is therefore important that Maddie has a secure garden where she can go off lead and play.

Maggie the Lurcher is aged one and two years old. She is described by staff at Darlington Dogs Trust as a lovely little lady but a bit of a worrier who can be shy with new faces and timid in new situations.

Once she builds up a relationship with people she has a bouncy cheeky side as you would expect from a young lurcher. She loves a fuss once made friends.

Maggie needs a bit of a confidence boost and ongoing training. She will need someone at home for her for most of the day as she doesn't like to be left on her own.

Maggie is looking to be the only dog in the home but must have walking buddies to keep her social as she does have multiple walking buddies at the shelter. She needs an adult only home, with no visiting children and a garden of her own.

This little lady will be a lovely addition to a kind and patient family willing to help her blossom into a more confident, adult dog. She will need a few meets at the centre to make friends before going home and ensure that her training is successfully transferred to new owners.

Max is a Tervueren Belgian Shepherd Dog who is aged between six and 12 months old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Max is a big lad with a huge personality to match.

He loves his humans and really enjoys company so will require people around for him and build up time left alone sympathetically.

Max will require a rural home environment as he can be reactive towards other dogs out and about however it is important he meets and interacts with appropriate dogs to help with his social skills and greeting other dogs more politely.

He could potentially live with another dog who was playful and tolerant as he can be a bit much for some dogs. Max is only a youngster so a good off lead enclosed area will help to burn off some of that energy and he would enjoy some mental enrichment too.

Max can be mouthy and is a big chap so requires an adult only home.

Maximus is an American Bulldog who is aged between one and two years old.

Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Maximus is a fun exuberant boy who has a lot of energy. This will need channelling into mentally stimulating activities alongside his physical exercise.

Maximus loves toys, but sometimes prefers to keep them all to himself - though he is slowly learning to share with his human pals. Maximus lacked in dog social skills when he first arrived at the shelter but has now built up a little social circle so this will be encouraged to continue in his new home.

However, he will need canine pals who enjoy rough and tumble play like him. Maximus is looking for an adult only home with people who are around all day to build up the time he can be left for as currently he does enjoy company.

He will need his own garden to enjoy a good run around and enjoy searching games. He is looking for a quiet home as busy environments can overwhelm him.

Maximus has been doing fantastically with his training at the centre and the training staff will be on hand to transfer this over to his new owners.

Meg the Border Collie is aged between five and seven years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Meg is a sweet girl who loves to make new canine friends and enjoys a gentle fuss from her carers.

Meg has a sensitive side and can be worried by sudden changes or when things get too busy. Meg loves nothing more than playing in our off lead field.

She can lack confidence in indoor areas, so will need to visit her new home several times before going home.

Meg is looking for a quiet, adult only home, where things will be kept really calm and predictable for her. The location must also be quiet as Meg can be very sensitive to noises.

She will need access to her own private, secure garden and will need to be walked in areas that don't get too busy. Meg will need to be the only pet in the home but would enjoy having some doggy friends out and about. Leaving hours must be built up gradually.

Milo is a Beagle aged over eight years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Milo is a beautiful lad who loves nothing more than a game with his toys.

He can take time to come out of his shell, but soon shows his fun and playful personality. Milo is a clever boy who enjoys learning new things, especially if there is cheese on offer.

He loves spending time with his favourite carers and exploring on quiet walks around the centre.

Milo is looking for a home with adults only and a private, secure garden to call his own. He can be worried by new people so will need a home where there will be minimal visitors.

Milo enjoys his walks but will need to be taken to quiet places and be kept on lead and muzzled. Milo would like to be the only pet and have human company for most of the day.

Mitzi is a crossbreed aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Mitzi is a very shy girl who has not had a great start to her young life.

She is such a little worrier and everything must be done very slowly and at her pace. She finds comfort in the company of another dog, and is even learning to play when they are around.

Mitzi is looking for a quiet, adult only home where new owners will be around to help her settle in and concentrate on her training and confidence building. She could live with a nice settled male dog in her new home.

She should be allowed time to blossom at her own rate and having her own secure garden to play in will certainly help with this. Patience will be repaid by a very sweet dog who adores cuddles on the sofa when she knows you.

Monty is a Crossbreed who is aged between two and five years old. Staff at Darlington Dogs Trust say Monty is a very affectionate boy when he gets to know you.

He is much more confident meeting new people though he still doesn't like to be rushed; food does help to win his heart though.

As Monty finds new faces scary he is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors. He won't be used to home life so this transition from kennels may be a gradual one.
