The 2022-2023 edition of the series will kick off Oct. 19 with Ian, who may best be known for her 1975 hit, “At Seventeen,” but whose pop/folk legacy continues to unfold: She released her first album in 15 years, “The Light at the End of the Line,” in January.

The Wood Brothers then play St. Cecilia’s historic Royce Auditorium on Oct. 27, followed by Kearney on Nov. 18 – playing as a trio in support of his latest album, “January Flower.”

Winter will bring the return of award-winning mandolinist Chris Thile to the St. Cecilia stage on Feb. 5, 2023, touring behind his solo project, “Laysongs.” He last wowed GR fans at St. Cecilia in February 2020, before the pandemic hit.

The much-praised Josh Ritter follows that with an appearance as part of the Acoustic Café series on March 2.

Series tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. July 19, with additional Acoustic Café shows expected to be booked and announced in coming months.

Tickets — $100-plus – currently are available to donors and subscribers online here or by calling 616-459-2224.

St. Cecilia’s executive and artistic director Cathy Holbrook noted that most Acoustic Café Folk Series concerts sell out, making them some of the most popular offerings staged in Royce Auditorium.
