Not long after rising Bishop McDevitt Riley Robell stepped off the wrestling mat with his first state title in hand, he found that he was already looking forward to playing football again. Blessed with a monster 6-foot-3, 280-pound frame and the ability to play two sports at a high level, Robell had to narrow down his sport preference before he could consider chipping away at a list of scholarship offers that ran over 20 deep.

The decision was made to follow his gut and pursue football, and on Monday Robell followed the same gut instinct in picking James Madison over a list of offers that ran the full gamut of opportunities, including the Ivy League and a shot to prove himself in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Robell went with a school that offered him early and blew him away when he took his first visit.
